SDC (Smart Village School)

SDC (Smart Village School)

The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Muhammadiyah Jember, starting in 2021, is collaborating with the Jember district government through two main programs, namely SDC (smart village school) and managing village assets. This collaboration was realized by the P2EKLM unit (Center for Development of Creative Economy & Community Services) through synergy with DPMD (Community and Village Empowerment Service) Jember Regency.

This realization was carried out after a seminar was held which was opened directly by the Regent of Jember Ir H Hendy Siswanto at the Ahmad Zainuri Building UM Jember on Wednesday September 2021.

The purpose of this collaboration is to increase the capacity and competence of the village apparatus, namely the village secretary because the village secretary is the main driving force. if the development goes well, of course the community will enjoy the development carried out by the local government through the village government. Besides that. Of the 2.5 million people of Jember, 70% are village people who have enormous potential, for example through tourism, entrepreneurship, agriculture and so on.

Therefore, the village secretary must have the impetus to explore natural wealth and human resources, "Don't make a wrong move or make a wrong program, the village secretary must be able to read the potential of the village." Therefore, the faculty of economics and business considers that the Smart Village School program is one of the obligations of tertiary institutions from the tri dharma of higher education, namely community service from academics to take part in accelerating the improvement of the quality of village apparatus human resources.

This is also in line with the MBKM (Independent Learning Campus Independent) curriculum policy which has been launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture and has been implemented by the Faculty of Economics and Business UM Jember. One of the implementations of this curriculum is in the form of the Village Project BKP so that it can foster a symbiosis of mutualism between FEB UM Jember and the Jember Regency Government, especially the DPMD and the village government.

The benefits of this program are to increase the HR of the Village Secretary (Sekdes) to understand and be able to carry out the tasks of the village secretary and understand village issues and provide village services. Understand village finances and village APB. In addition, the form of collaborative program is tentative. The Faculty of Economics and Business has also carried out a long-term collaboration, namely opening an executive class/evening class for the management study program which has currently been running for two semesters with a total of 17 students from the village secretary. Among them are Gumelar Village, Paleran Village, Sukoreno Village, Mulyorejo Village, Puger Village, etc.

And for the admission of new students for the 2022/2023 academic year, the management studies study program is still opening executive classes again for village secretaries who have not yet taken part in lecture activities in the 2021/2022 academic year.

Of course this activity is free because it is provided with funding or scholarships by the Jember district government. Therefore, you can directly contact the afternoon class manager, Dr. Haris Hermawan, MM or admin 082232830111 afternoon class Mr. Daniel Purnomo, SE 082244673773
